They strive to bring you approachable beverages at an equitable price point. E&I holds the distinction of being the second Black-owned brewery in the state of Tennessee, with a goal of creating a safe, comfortable, inclusive atmosphere where all can find common ground through their beer. Co-owners Mitchell & Chico go way back to 2008. Chico was the director for Athletic Training education program where Mitchell studied. Soon after graduation, they both met for beers and quickly realized craft beer lacks diversity. They wanted to be a part of change in Knoxville, TN. Mitchell brewed in college; Chico studied the ways of brewing and soon they found themselves collaborating with local brewing companies. They wish to bring diversity, inclusion and communal growth through the beer they make.
